Ladybug Birthday - Ideas to 'Bug' Up Your Next Party

Ladybug Birthday

Now that you've chosen a theme for the upcoming birthday, you're one step closer to having the planning accomplished. So now what? You love the idea of the ladybug theme (and likely so does your daughter or whoever you're planning this for), but how do you pull it off? Here are some ideas to get those creative bug juices flowing.

Costume Bug Ball: A 'bug' invitation is a good start to make the kids excited to come to the party. One of the greatest ways to get your ladybug birthday started off is to invite all the guests to dress up as their favorite bug. Don't forget to get a picture of this wild group! Face Painting: Little kids, and big kids for that matter, love getting their faces painted. Ask an older sibling or a couple of parents to assist you in the process so it doesn't become too overwhelming. Even if you're not the best artist, the kids will just love having a bug on their face! Ladybug Tableware and Decorations: Think red and black EVERYTHING. Tablecloths, dinnerware, food, streamers, balloons, confetti...you name it. Deck out the party room in these colors and a few ladybug centerpieces and your decorations will be a big hit! Bug Cupcakes: Get or make some chocolate cupcakes and let the kids frost them themselves with red frosting and black icing. You can get creative and use black licorice or other black candies to add to their cupcakes. Sprinkle them with sparkly red sprinkles, and they'll be adored! Ladybug Pinata: A pinata is a good idea for every party, so pick up a ladybug pinata for your's! Hang it in the center of the room so that it will be one of the first things that the kids see when they walk in. They won't be able to wait to take a whack at the cute little bug. All Bug Party Favors: There are so many possibilities when it comes to bug favors, for example, any red/ or black candy, ladybug rings, balloons, little red lip gloss, ladybug stickers, and the list goes on and on! Sending home a good party favor will make every guest feel like the party went great even if you weren't able to pull off everything perfectly.

Excited to get started? You should be! Having a ladybug party is a great way to celebrate any birthday, and if you use just a few of these ideas, you're sure to have a birthday bash that everyone will remember. Just have fun with it and the kids will too!
